How do I verify my Paribu account?

September 15, 2026

To make transactions on Paribu, you need to verify your account. ID scanning, face verification, the investor profile, and address verification are performed only in the Paribu app. The web does not run these steps; it shows your verification status, locks the transaction surfaces until it is complete, and directs you to the app with a QR code. The step you can complete on the web is the agreement.

What is account verification (KYC)?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is the identity verification process financial institutions apply due to legal regulations. Paribu requires you to verify your identity before you can make transactions on your account. Until verification is complete, deposits, withdrawals, and trading cannot be performed.

What does the verification process look like on the web?

When you sign in on the web with an unverified account, you are greeted with the message Your account is ready. Please verify your account in the mobile app to start trading. and a QR code. On desktop, scan the QR code with your phone; on mobile, use the Download app button. Then sign in to the same account and complete the verification steps in the app.

The progress indicator — it shows where you are

There is a progress indicator at the top of the verification page. The default sequence has four steps:

  1. Create your account — marked as done once sign-up is complete
  2. Verify your account — completed in the app
  3. Accept the agreement — can also be completed on the web
  4. Deposit TRY — to start trading

The label of the second step changes with your status: if an address document is requested, it reads Verify your address; if your application is under review, it reads Your information is being examined. Accounts with a campaign also see a Claim your gift step.

Note: The Deposit TRY step is not a barrier. Once your verification is complete, you can skip this step and start trading.

What does my account's verification status mean?

Status What you see on the screen
Unverified "Your account is ready. Please verify your account in the mobile app to start trading." + QR code
Rejected Direction to the app for a new application; a warning banner at the top of the pages
New verification required Direction to the app and a time-bound warning banner
Address document required Verify your address, start trading right away. — the document is uploaded from the app
Under review "Your information is under review to verify your account. Once the review is complete, you can start transactions." — there is no action to take on this screen; wait for the result
Access restricted "Your application could not be accepted. Please call 0850 303 60 00 for more information."
Verified The lock is lifted; if your agreement is not accepted, the progress indicator remains visible

Note: When your status changes, the pages on the web and in the app update on their own; you do not need to refresh.

The re-verification warning banner

If your account needs to be verified again, a banner appears at the top of the pages. This banner escalates in three stages over time:

  1. Notice — "Due to new legal regulations, you need to verify your account. Please complete the steps within … days to continue your transactions."
  2. Warning — "Due to new legal regulations, you need to verify your account. Complete the steps now to continue your transactions seamlessly."
  3. Restriction — the same warning continues, but at this stage crypto asset withdrawals and placing orders are closed

Warning: The number of days in the banner varies by account and is set by Paribu. If you see the banner, the safest course is to complete verification without waiting for the period to end; at the third stage, withdrawals and orders stop even though your account is open.

If a video call is requested

For some accounts, a video call is requested due to legal regulations. In that case, a separate banner appears at the top of the pages and states the period within which you need to complete the call. When you click the button to verify your account with the mobile app, a window with a QR code opens: "You can complete your video call via the mobile app." The call is only made in the app; you can close the window with Later.

The agreement — you can accept it on the web

After verification is completed in the app, the final remaining step is the agreement, and you can accept it on the web as well.

  1. On the verification page, you see the heading You must complete your verification by confirming your agreement.
  2. Click the Accept the agreement button
  3. In the window that opens, scroll the agreement text all the way to the end — until then, the button reads Scroll to end
  4. Once you reach the end of the text, the button becomes I have read and agree to the terms; when you click it, the acceptance is complete

Note: When a new version of the agreement is published, your acceptance is requested again so that it can be renewed. Paribu Earn (staking) has a separate agreement; you need to accept that one as you start using earn.

What cannot be done without verification?

Until your account is verified, trading, recurring buy, deposits, withdrawals, and wallet actions are closed. When you click these surfaces, the page does not change; the Verify your account notice opens and states "Please verify your account to make transactions."

Note: Paribu does not have verification tiers such as Level 1 or Level 2. Withdrawal limits depend on the currency you transact in, not on a verification tier. The security level indicator on the Security settings page is also unrelated to account verification; it only looks at your two-factor authentication and passkey status.

When verification is complete

Once your verification is approved, you see the message Everything is ready. You can start trading on Paribu. If there is no TRY in your account, the screen directs you to deposit: "You have verified your account. Deposit TRY to your account to start trading on Paribu." Frequently asked questions

Can I complete account verification on the web?

ID scanning, chip (NFC) reading, face verification, and document upload require the device's camera and sensors, so they are only performed in the Paribu app. On the web, you see your verification status, are directed to the app, and can give the agreement acceptance.

Where can I download the app?

You can scan the QR code on the verification page with your phone, use the Download app button in a mobile browser, or search for the Paribu app on the App Store and Google Play.

Can I verify my account with a passport or driver's license?

Verification in the app can only be done with the new-type Turkish ID card with a chip. A driver's license, passport, old-type ID card without a chip, student ID, or institutional card cannot be used. Verification also cannot be completed if your new type Turkish ID card is missing its chip or the signature field on the card is blank.

I have a foreign ID card or blue card. What should I do?

In that case, verification cannot be completed with the ID scanning steps in the app; the process runs via a physical courier. To start it, you can use the live support chat through Paribu Support. You are not charged any fee for the courier process; the cost is covered by Paribu.

My account is under review. How long does it take?

The review period varies by application; no period is stated on the screen. You are informed once the result is available. At this stage, deposits, withdrawals, and trading are closed.

What happens to my assets if I do not complete verification?

The assets in your account continue to be held. However, new deposits, withdrawals, and trading cannot be performed until verification is complete.

What happens if I do not accept the agreement?

Even if your account verification is approved, transactions cannot be made until the agreement is accepted. The Accept the agreement step stays open in the progress indicator; you can give the acceptance from the web or the app.
