How do I close my Paribu account?

June 24, 2026

You can close your Paribu account. Account closure is an action that ends access to your account. To complete the action, all assets in your account must have been emptied.

Note: If you want to take a temporary break from crypto asset markets, instead of closing the account, you can consider the account freeze option. Frozen accounts can be reactivated through Paribu Support.

What are the requirements for closing the account?

To close your account, you need to empty the assets in your Paribu account. If your total balance is above approximately TRY 10, you cannot create an account closure request; in that case, you are first asked to withdraw your assets or convert them to Turkish lira.

  • Crypto assets: You can transfer to another crypto wallet address or convert to Turkish lira
  • Turkish lira balance: You can withdraw to a bank account registered in your name
  • Staked assets: You can transfer them to your balance after cancelling the staking
  • Open orders: You need to cancel your open trading orders

Warning: When you click the Close account button while your balance is above approximately TRY 10, the "Account closure request cannot be created" warning is shown and your existing balance is displayed. To complete the action, you first need to empty all your assets.

What happens when the account is closed?

When your account closure request is completed, the following outcomes occur:

  • Your account is closed to all transactions
  • An information email is sent to your registered email address
  • The email, Turkish ID number, and phone information of the closed account cannot be used to create a new Paribu account
  • Your personal data is retained under legal storage obligations
