If your crypto withdrawal was not completed, the reason may be your balance, a limit, a waiting period, the address, or the status of the asset or the network. The warning you see on the screen tells you directly which condition is not met.
The most common reasons a crypto withdrawal is not completed are the available balance being insufficient, the amount staying below the minimum withdrawal amount, the withdrawal limits being exceeded, the asset being in the legal waiting period, the address being invalid, and the asset or the network being closed to transactions. You can find the warning you see on the screen in the table below and proceed from there.
| What you see on the screen | What you should do |
|---|---|
| Withdrawal amount needs to be at least {amount} {asset} | Raise the amount above the stated minimum |
| You have exceeded your single {asset} withdrawal limit | Lower the amount below the single-transaction limit stated on the screen |
| You have exceeded your daily {asset} withdrawal limit | Enter an amount that does not exceed your remaining daily limit, or wait for tomorrow |
| You have exceeded your 30-day {asset} withdrawal limit | Adjust the amount according to your remaining 30-day limit |
| Waiting period for withdrawal is in progress | See the waiting period section below |
| This withdrawal has a hold period | The legal waiting period is in progress; try again after the stated time |
| {asset} withdrawals are closed | The asset is temporarily closed to withdrawals |
| The network you selected is currently unavailable for transactions | Choose a different network or try again later |
| Enter a valid address. | Check the address and enter it again |
| Invalid memo code | The memo code must be at least 4 digits |
| Network not found | The network you selected could not be found; choose another network |
| Your withdrawal request could not be completed | Try again later |
| We are unable to process your withdrawal request | There is no withdrawal permission on your account; contact support |
You cannot withdraw crypto assets you have just bought or deposited straight away. The description on the screen states the rule: "To withdraw the related crypto asset, at least 72 hours must have passed since your first purchase or deposit, and at least 48 hours for subsequent withdrawals."
The amount you can withdraw at that moment is also shown on the same screen. On the waiting period screen you see the following information:
To follow the time you can use the Notify me when time is up button. When the reminder is set, you see the We will let you know when time is up confirmation: "Your reminder is set. We will send a notification once the holding period ends so you can restart the process."
Note: The waiting period is a requirement of regulation and cannot be shortened. When the time is up, you can restart your withdrawal
In some cases a temporary protection comes into play at the account level. In this case you see the title Transfer is currently unavailable with this description: "A 72-hour security protection is being applied to protect your account. You can resume transfer transactions after this period."
The same screen also states that you can contact the support team to request the process to be expedited.
If you changed your password or your email address, a 48-hour crypto withdrawal restriction is also applied — in that case you see the message "For your security, crypto asset withdrawals are paused for 48 hours starting the moment you change your password. Please try again later."
| What you see on the screen | What it means |
|---|---|
| Check your information — "We are unable to make transfers to this address for security reasons." | The address is blocked for security reasons |
| Check your information — "We are unable to save this address for security reasons. Please try a different address." | The address cannot be saved to the address book |
| Withdrawal to this address cannot be completed — "Please try again using a different saved address." | Address-based protection is in effect |
| Check your information — "The information you entered does not match." | The network and the memo information do not match each other |
| "This address has been deleted, please try again." | The saved address you selected has been deleted |
| You have exceeded your address limit | The address book is full; delete a saved address to add a new one |
Warning: Do not ignore the address warnings. Crypto assets sent to the wrong address or over the wrong network cannot be recovered
For some assets and networks, withdrawals may be stopped temporarily. The description that appears next to the asset in the list tells you the reason:
When the request is created, you see the notification "Your {asset} withdrawal request has been received." An email confirmation may then be requested; in that case you need to confirm the transaction within 2 hours — for details you can look at the Crypto withdrawal confirmation email issues article.
If none of the reasons above applies to you, you can start the live support chat through Paribu Support. To allow your request to be resolved quickly, it is recommended to have the name of the asset, the network you selected, the withdrawal amount, the recipient address, and the warning text you see on the screen ready.
As required by regulation, a waiting period of at least 72 hours is applied for the first withdrawal and at least 48 hours for subsequent withdrawals. This period starts from your purchase or deposit.
No. The waiting period is a legal requirement. With the Notify me when time is up option you can receive a notification when the period ends.
Your remaining limits are shown on the withdrawal screen, and when a limit is exceeded the warning on the screen tells you the remaining amount.
The memo code must be at least 4 digits. In addition, the network you selected and the memo information need to match.
You can cancel withdrawal requests that have not been processed yet. When it is canceled you see the notification "Your {asset} withdrawal request has been canceled" and the amount returns to your available balance.
