How to buy and sell crypto assets?

You can buy and sell crypto assets on Paribu using different view options and order types. With the easy view you can complete a trade in a few clicks, or use the standard and advanced views with the order book, chart and different order types for more detailed trading.

How to buy and sell crypto assets?

To buy and sell crypto assets on the Paribu web, select your order type from the Buy or Sell tab on the market detail page, set the price and amount, and complete your trade. You can use market, limit and conditional order types.

Before you begin

  • Account verification must be complete
  • Depending on the pair you select, you must have enough TRY or USDT balance to buy and enough crypto asset balance to sell

Trade from the market detail page

  1. Open Paribu.com and go to the Markets page
  2. Choose the pair from the market group selector; an asset can trade on both a TRY and a USDT pair (for example, BTC/TRY and BTC/USDT). Then click the asset you want to trade to open the market detail page
  3. Click the Buy or Sell tab in the top left section
  4. Select Market, Limit or Conditional from the order type drop-down menu
  5. Enter the price and amount details based on the order type
  6. Complete the trade with the Buy or Sell button

Note: Click the plus (+) icon in the price field to automatically select the current best price from the order book. By clicking the amount field, you can also use the bar that appears to set a percentage of your balance

Trade quickly with Buy / Sell

You can use the Buy / Sell feature for quick trades without using the order book and chart:

  1. Open Paribu.com and click the Buy-Sell button in the top right
  2. Click the asset name and select the market you want to trade
  3. Click the Buy or Sell tab
  4. Enter the amount or select one of the suggested preset amounts
  5. Complete the trade

Note: Trades placed with Buy / Sell are filled as market orders, and taker fee rates apply

Sections of the market detail page

You can access trading tools and market information on the market detail page:

  • Buy / Sell section: Pinned in the top left section of the screen. Order type selection, price and amount entry are done from this section
  • Chart: Line, candle and depth charts. Technical indicators (VOL, RSI, EMA, MA, BOLL) are available
  • Order book: Depth of buy (green) and sell (red) orders. The decimal precision (1, 10, 50, 100) can be adjusted
  • Open orders: You can view and cancel your pending orders

View preference

You can use either the standard or advanced view on the market detail page. You can update the view preference from the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the page.

Order types

Order type Description
Market The trade is filled instantly at the best available price
Limit The trade is filled when the price you set is reached
Conditional (stop) The trade is filled when the conditions you set are met

Note: Trades placed with a market order are charged at the taker rate, while limit orders waiting in the order book are charged at the maker rate

Important information

  • Some assets trade on both TRY and USDT pairs; depending on the pair you select, your TRY or USDT balance is used for the buy order
  • The minimum trade amount is TRY 100 for TRY pairs and 1 USDT for USDT pairs
  • Your balance is updated automatically once the trade is filled
  • The corresponding balance is locked until your open orders are filled or cancelled
  • You can track your completed and pending trades on the Account activity page
  • A 72-hour waiting period may apply to your first crypto asset withdrawal after trading

What is the trading fee?

A fee applies to trades on Paribu. There are two different rates: maker and taker. For current rates, see the Trading fees article.

Which view should I use?

In the app, you can use the easy view for fast and simple trades, the standard view for trading with the order book and chart, and the advanced view for professional trading with the detailed order book, conditional orders and expandable chart. On the web, you can use the Buy / Sell window opened from the Buy-Sell button in the top right for quick trades, and the standard or advanced view of the market detail page for detailed trading.

How can I compare order types in the app?

In the app, when you tap the order type field on the Buy/Sell tab, the Select order type screen opens with a Learn about order types link in the top right corner. Tap this link to see the definitions of each order type, when they are used, and infographics on the same screen. How can I view my transaction history?

You can view all of your completed and pending trades from the transaction history screen. You can filter by asset, transaction type, status and date.

Can I withdraw my crypto assets immediately after trading?
