On Paribu, a one-time verification code is sent to the phone number registered to your account during sign-in, 2FA setup, and operations that require security. If you cannot receive this code, the reason may be your signal status, SMS filters, or your mobile operator.
If the SMS authentication code is not arriving, check your phone's signal status, review your SMS filtering settings, and request a new code with the Resend option when the 120-second countdown ends. If you are abroad, make sure international roaming is enabled on your line.
If you are in Türkiye and cannot receive the code, apply the following checks in order:
Temporary technical issues at your operator can also affect delivery. If the steps do not resolve the issue, wait a few minutes and try again.
When you enter the code, follow the warning you see on the screen:
Tip: Instead of typing the code manually you can use the Paste code button. This option is available in SMS, email, and authenticator app verification alike
If you have made repeated incorrect entries, sign-in may be paused for 10 minutes for security reasons; in that case you see the "Too many attempts" warning.
If you cannot receive the code abroad, check whether international roaming is enabled on your line. If roaming is off, you cannot receive SMS abroad.
Note: For long stays abroad you can reduce your dependence on SMS by enabling two-step verification; the verification code is generated in the app on your phone and you do not have to wait for an SMS
Which verification method arrives depends on the methods defined on your account. If a passkey is the selected method, the verification is done biometrically. When a code is requested the order is as follows: if there is an authenticator app it is used first, otherwise SMS, and if that is not available either, an email code is sent.
If more than one method is defined on your account, you can switch to another one with the Use a different method button on the verification screen. In some operations a second method may also be requested after the first verification for security reasons.
To reduce your dependence on SMS you can review the How to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) or What is a passkey? articles.
If you still cannot receive the code despite applying the steps above, start the live support chat through Paribu Support and report your situation. To allow your request to be resolved quickly, it is recommended to share your registered phone number, your mobile operator, and the country you are in if you are abroad.
A 120-second countdown starts after the first code is sent. You cannot request a new code before the time is up; when the countdown ends, Resend becomes active.
The verification session is valid for 5 minutes. If it expires, you need to return to sign-in and enter your credentials again.
A code is sent to your phone during the 2FA setup for security purposes. After the setup is complete, your authenticator app is used first for verification; in some operations an SMS may also be requested as additional verification.
The code is sent to the number registered to your account. Since financial transactions cannot be used on accounts opened with a number outside Türkiye, your verification needs may differ; you can contact Paribu Support to clarify your situation.
SMS is sent only to the phone number registered to your account. If you do not have access to your number, you need to contact Paribu Support for a phone number change.
