If you are having trouble signing in to Paribu, the most common reasons are an incorrect credential or password, a verification code issue, a new device approval, or your account status. Below you can find solution steps for each scenario.
If you cannot sign in to your Paribu account, first check your credentials: you can enter either your mobile phone number or your email address in the single field on the sign-in screen. Then make sure your two-step verification code is still valid. If you are signing in from a new device, an approval by email is requested. If your account is frozen, locked, or disabled, the solution goes through Paribu Support.
You can enter either a mobile phone number or an email address in the single credential field on the sign-in screen. While the field is empty its label is Mobile phone or Email address; if you start with a digit it switches to phone mode automatically and a +90 field appears on the left, and if you start with a letter it returns to email mode.
When your details do not match, you see one of the following warnings depending on the mode you are in:
When you get this warning, check the following:
Note: You need access to the email address or the phone number registered to your account in order to reset your password
When you make repeated incorrect sign-in attempts, sign-in is paused temporarily for the security of your account and the screen that opens shows the title "Too many attempts" with this description: "For the security of your account, sign-in has been paused for 10 minutes. Try again later or reset your password."
You have two options on this screen:
If you exceed the limit for requesting verification codes, you see the title "Try again later" with the message "You have exceeded the limit set for verification steps. Please try again in a short while." In this case you also need to wait for a short while.
If two-step verification is enabled on your account, a 6-digit code is requested during sign-in. Which method it arrives through depends on the methods defined on your account — an authenticator app, SMS, or email. The screen title is Two-step verification, Verify your phone, or Verify your email accordingly.
If your code is not accepted, follow the message you see on the screen:
Instead of typing the code manually you can use the Paste code button; this option is available in authenticator app, SMS, and email verification alike.
If more than one verification method is defined on your account, you can switch to another one with the Use a different method button. If you cannot access your authenticator app, view the How to resolve two-factor authentication (2FA) issues article, and if the SMS code is not arriving, view the SMS authentication code not received article.
Note: The verification session is valid for 5 minutes. If it expires, you need to return to sign-in and enter your credentials again
If a passkey is defined on your account, sign-in is completed with your fingerprint or face recognition. When the verification cannot be completed, you see the title "Passkey sign-in could not be completed" and two buttons:
A passkey depends on the biometric settings of your device. If neither fingerprint nor face recognition is defined on your device, the verification cannot be completed; in that case you can choose verification with a code. For passkey creation issues, you can view the Cannot create a passkey article.
When you sign in from an unrecognized device, an approval by email is requested for the security of your account. The screen shows the title "Approve this device to sign in" with this description: "We noticed a sign-in attempt from a new device. You can approve this device by clicking the link we just sent to your email."
To give the approval, follow these steps:
Warning: You need to give the approval from the device you are trying to sign in with. The hint on the screen reminds you of this as well: "Make sure you approve from the same device you signed in with"
If you open the approval link on a different device or the link has expired, you see the "Page link is invalid" warning. In that case tap Back to sign in and start the sign-in again; a new approval email is sent to you.
If your credentials are correct but sign-in still does not complete, access may be closed because of your account status. The title you see on the screen that opens tells you which situation you are in:
In all four situations the only button on the screen is Contact Paribu Support; the solution goes through support. For a frozen or locked account, the support team verifies your identity and may request documents from you to keep your account secure.
For a detailed explanation of the scenarios, you can view the My account is locked article.
Note: You can start the live support chat even when you have no access to your account — the chat is reachable without signing in
If you still cannot sign in despite applying the steps above, start the live support chat through Paribu Support and report your situation. To allow your request to be resolved quickly, it is recommended to have the email address and phone number registered to your account and the warning text you see on the screen ready.
After repeated incorrect attempts, sign-in is paused for 10 minutes for security reasons and the "Too many attempts" warning is displayed. You can wait for this period or renew your password with the Reset password button on the same screen.
Both are valid. Whichever you enter in the single credential field on the sign-in screen, the field switches to that mode automatically. Your password is the same in both cases.
Your session may have been ended on the server side for security reasons. In this case you see the title "Your session has expired" with the message "Your session has been ended for your security. Please sign in again." and you need to sign in again.
You can approve your device within 2 hours after the approval email is sent. If the time passes, you can start the sign-in again and request a new approval email.
Yes. You can sign in to your Paribu account from more than one device; an email approval is requested for every unrecognized new device. To view and end your active sessions, you can view the What is device management and how to use it article.
Yes. You can start the live support chat without signing in to your account. In this case your name, email address, and mobile phone number are requested so that the support team can contact you.
