For security reasons, the email address registered to your Paribu account is changed only in the Paribu mobile app, by verifying your identity. On Paribu.com you can see your address on the Personal information page and move to the app when you start the edit. After the change, crypto asset withdrawals cannot be made for 48 hours.

Can I change my email address on Paribu.com?

No. The name, email and phone details on the Personal information page cannot be edited on the website. When you click the edit option on the email row, an Update from the app prompt appears; the page itself explains that for your security you can only update your email address from the Paribu app by verifying your identity.

How do I start the change from the website?

The website does not complete the change, but it takes you to the right place. Follow these steps:

1. Open Paribu.com and sign in to your account
2. Click the profile icon in the top right to open the Personal information page
3. Click the edit option on the Email row
4. In the Update from the app prompt that opens, use the Update in the app button — on desktop a QR code you can scan with your phone is also shown
5. Once you are in the app, complete the change there

The flow in the app starts when you enter your password and your new address, continues with the codes that arrive on your phone and at your new address, and ends with identity verification. When you complete the verification, your request is taken under review and the result is reported to you.

Note: Even though the change is made in the app, the result applies on the website as well; you can sign in to Paribu.com with your new address

What can I do if I cannot access my old email address?

If you have lost access to your registered email address, you cannot complete the change on your own, because one of the verification steps is tied to the code sent to your current channels. In this case, the Personal information page shows a support route: you can have your details updated through Paribu Support or by calling us. Having the details registered to your account ready speeds up the live support chat.

If you cannot sign in to your account either, you can use the I cannot access my contact information link on the Reset your password page, which opens from the Forgot my password link on the sign-in page. This flow does not end on the website: you come across a Continue from the app prompt, scan the QR code with your phone and move to the app with the Continue in the app button. Identity verification is carried out in the app.

What restrictions are applied after the email change?

3. On the Change email address screen that opens, fill in the Current password and Your new email address fields and tap the Save button
4. Enter the verification code that arrives on your phone — the screen title becomes Verify your phone number
5. Enter the code that arrives at your new email address — the screen title becomes Verify your new email address
6. You are directed to the identity verification step: scan your ID card, complete the chip reading, and do the face verification
7. On the result screen you see the title Your request is under review: "Our team will review your request and notify you."

Warning: Completing the verification does not mean your email address has changed immediately. The request is taken under review and the result is reported to you

When you enter your password incorrectly, the warning "Incorrect password. Please try again" appears below the field.

What is requested at the identity verification step?

The identity verification step proceeds under two headings: Verify your identity details and Complete face verification. Your ID card is scanned with the camera, its chip is read, and then the face verification is done. At this step you are not asked to upload documents such as a selfie, a residence certificate, or a receipt.

The results you may come across during the verification:

A support request from the app: The information banner on the email change screen reminds you of this: "If you cannot access your registered email address, please contact Paribu Support." With the Request support link in the same banner you can move to the support section.

The recovery flow without signing in: If you cannot sign in to your account either, you can use the I cannot access my contact information link on the password reset screen. On the screen that opens, answer the What are you unable to access? question with Email address and you are directed to identity verification.

In this flow your identity is verified first, then a code is sent to the registered channel you can access in order to confirm that you own the account, and then you enter your new email address and confirm the code that arrives there.

Warning: At the end of this flow the address does not change immediately either. You see the title Your request is under review on the screen; the change is applied after the review is approved and the result is reported to you
