When you forget your Paribu password, you can start the password reset flow via your registered email address and phone number. If you cannot access your registered information, you can first update your contact information with the I cannot access my contact information flow on the same screen.
I forgot my password, how can I reset it?
To reset your password on Paribu, tap the Forgot password link on the sign-in screen and enter your registered mobile phone number and email address. After completing identity verification and setting your new password, the action is finalized. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled on your account, verification is done with the code in your authenticator app instead of an SMS. Once the password is reset, your account is closed to crypto asset withdrawals for 48 hours.
Before you start
- You must have access to your registered mobile phone number and email address
- Your new password must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one digit; it must not contain sequential numbers (such as 123) or the same character repeated consecutively
Warning: When the password is reset, as a security measure your account is closed to crypto asset withdrawals for 48 hours. You can continue with TRY withdrawals and trading actions without interruption.
Reset your password
- Open the Paribu app and tap the Forgot password link on the sign-in screen
- On the Reset your password screen, enter your registered mobile phone number and email address, then tap the Continue button
- On the verification screen that opens, enter the 6-digit code sent to you (if 2FA is enabled on your account, the code from your authenticator app is requested instead of an SMS; if needed, you continue with the code sent to your email address)
- On the Set your new password screen, enter your new password into the New password and Repeat new password fields and tap the Save new password button
- On the Your password has been changed successfully screen, tap the Continue button to return to the sign-in screen
Note: If you do not remember your registered email address or phone number, on the Reset your password screen you can tap the I do not remember my email or phone number link to be redirected to support chat.
What should I do if I cannot access my registered email or phone?
If you cannot access the email address or phone number registered to your Paribu account, you cannot complete the password reset steps. In this case, use the I cannot access my contact information link on the Reset your password screen to verify your identity and update your contact information without signing in. You can then reset your password with your new information.
- Tap the Forgot password option on the sign-in screen
- Tap the I cannot access my contact information link on the Reset your password screen
- Select the information you cannot access (Mobile phone or Email address) on the Which one can you not access? screen
- Scan your ID document and complete the face check
- Enter the verification code sent to the registered channel you can access
- Enter your new information and confirm the code sent to it
Once your contact information is updated, you can complete the password reset steps with your new information.
Info: Identity verification is completed automatically through the app using your ID document and a face check. You do not need to upload or send any separate documents.
48-hour restriction after password reset
After your password is reset, for your security, no crypto asset withdrawal can be made for 48 hours. This period provides protection against unauthorized access attempts to your account.
Note: The 48-hour restriction applies only to crypto asset withdrawal actions. You can continue with TRY withdrawals and trading actions without interruption.
