The Travel Rule form is an information form that must be completed for all crypto withdrawals and deposits by legal regulations. The fields of the form may seem confusing for users encountering it for the first time; in this article, you can find the most frequently experienced issues and their solutions.
The most common issues on the Travel Rule form are confusion in selecting the recipient or sender type, the target platform not being found in the platform list, the description field failing character or content validation, and not knowing what happens to the operation when you exit the form. You can find the solution to each issue step by step below.

In the first step of the form, you need to specify to whom the transfer is being made or from whom it is coming. Select the correct option among three:
Note: Use the Myself (in deposits, My own account) option for transfers between your own platforms; with this option, only platform information is requested and the form is completed in the fastest way
The recipient type is asked in withdrawal operations and the sender type is asked in deposit operations. The logic is the same: you define the counterparty of the transfer.
After the recipient or sender information, you are asked to select the target or source platform. Platforms available in the ready list on Paribu are: Binance, Binance TR, Bitstamp, BTC Turk, Bybit, Coinbase, Crypto.com, Kraken, Midas, OKX, OKX TR.
If you are transferring to a platform not in the list or to an independent wallet, you can use the Other option to manually enter the platform or wallet name. The name you enter must be at least 3 characters.
Note: Users using independent wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger, etc.) can enter the wallet name from the Other option. For example, typing "MetaMask" or "Ledger" is sufficient
In the final step of the form, you need to add a description for the transfer. Errors that may be encountered in the description field and their solutions:
The description field must contain at least 20 characters. When you select one of the ready options (To stake on the recipient platform, To buy / sell on the recipient platform, etc.), this limit is automatically met. If you are going to write your own text, enter a description of sufficient length.
Paribu automatically checks the content of the description field. When profanity, slang, emoji or similar inappropriate content is detected, the warning "Inappropriate content detected" is shown and you are asked to edit the description.
When rewriting your description, use plain text that expresses the actual purpose of the transfer briefly and clearly. Prefer standard letters and numbers instead of emojis or special characters.
Note: Using one of the ready options allows you to automatically pass both the character limit and the content validation
When the sender type is selected as Institution, the institution name must be at least 3 characters. Short abbreviations (e.g. "AB") may not be of sufficient length; enter the institution's full legal name.
When you try to exit the screen during form completion, Paribu shows a confirmation dialog. The exit behaviour varies by transaction type:
Warning: Exiting the form during a withdrawal cancels the transfer. In a deposit, the asset remains pending until you complete the form; there is no time limit
If you continue to experience a content validation error or a technical issue with the form fields, you can start a live support chat through Paribu Support and report your situation.
It is sufficient to write a description that briefly explains the actual purpose of the transfer. The ready options cover most scenarios; if you are going to write your own text, you need to enter at least 20 characters and avoid emojis or inappropriate expressions. It is recommended that the description reflect the actual purpose of the transfer.
On the platform selection screen, mark the Other option to manually enter the wallet name (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger, etc.). The name you enter must be at least 3 characters.
The institution option is valid only if you are transferring to a legal entity (company, exchange, etc.). If you are transferring to your personal account, use the My own account option; you do not need to enter an institution name.
Yes. Even if you exit without entering sender information in a deposit, the asset remains pending indefinitely. You can fill out the form whenever you want by going to the relevant asset's detail in the Wallet tab. The asset does not move to the available balance until the form is completed.
