How to withdraw Ripple (XRP)

You can send the Ripple (XRP) in your Paribu account to another platform, an independent wallet, or a Paribu user. For XRP transfers, if the recipient has a Memo value, this field is mandatory; for withdrawals made without a tag, your assets may not reach the recipient account.

How is Ripple (XRP) withdrawn?

To withdraw XRP on Paribu web, click the XRP asset on the Wallet page, use the Send button in the window that opens, and enter the withdrawal address. After selecting Ripple (XRP) as the network and entering the recipient's Memo value and the amount, confirm the send summary. You can see the estimated time in the Arrival time field on the Send summary screen.

Before you start

  • You must have completed your account verification
  • Under legal regulations, at least 48 hours must have passed since the purchase or deposit of XRP (72 hours for the first withdrawal)
  • You must have obtained the recipient's Memo value beforehand

Withdraw Ripple (XRP)

  1. Open Paribu.com and go to the Wallet page
  2. Click the XRP asset on the asset list
  3. Click the Send button in the window that opens
  4. Enter or paste the withdrawal address, or click the address book icon in the address field to choose from your saved addresses or recent transactions
  5. Select the Ripple (XRP) network in the Network to send field
  6. Enter the recipient's memo value in the Memo field
  7. Enter the amount you want to send
  8. Check the Send summary screen and complete the Confirm the transfer step
  9. Complete the Travel Rule information entry and confirm the transaction with your authentication method

Warning: If the recipient has a Memo value, this field must be filled in. For withdrawals made without a memo or with an incorrect memo, your assets may not reach the recipient account.

Memo entry

For XRP withdrawals, in addition to the recipient's wallet address, the Memo value also needs to be entered. This field is shown automatically below the address field on the withdrawal window.

You can find the memo value from the recipient platform or wallet. Enter the memo value shown alongside the address on the recipient's deposit screen into the withdrawal window.

Note: Some independent wallets may not require a memo. If the recipient wallet does not request a memo, you can leave this field empty. For exchange and platform transfers, a memo is generally mandatory.

Ripple network details

XRP can only be withdrawn over the Ripple network. Network details:

  • Network: Ripple (XRP)
  • Arrival time: shown on the Send summary screen; if unknown, it reads "Varies by network"
  • Network withdrawal cost: shown on the screen once you select the network
  • Memo: Mandatory (if required by recipient)

Note: The withdrawal fee is charged not by Paribu but by the blockchain network. No network fee is applied for transfers to Paribu users.

Important information

  • For XRP withdrawals, if the recipient has a Memo value, this field must be filled in
  • Transfers to Paribu users are completed instantly with no network fee
  • Under legal regulations, withdrawals cannot be made before at least 48 hours have passed since the purchase or deposit of XRP; on the first withdrawal this period is applied as 72 hours
  • The transaction is generally completed within a few seconds over the Ripple network
  • A confirmed withdrawal cannot be cancelled or reversed
  • You can track the status of your transfer on the blockchain with your TX code
  • Crypto withdrawals cannot be made for 48 hours after a password or email change
