Profit/loss (P&L — Profit and Loss) shows the change in the value of your portfolio over a given period. On Paribu, you can review the overall performance of your portfolio and the gains of individual assets from the Asset analysis screen.
Profit/loss is the core performance metric that shows the increase or decrease in your portfolio's value over a given period. On Paribu, you can review the total value change, profit/loss status, and asset allocation of all assets in your wallet from the Asset analysis page.
When you sign in to paribu.com, you can access the Asset analysis page from the value change and profit and loss sections next to your balance.
The profit/loss change is calculated by considering the portfolio value at the start of the day, the portfolio value at the end of the day, and the deposit/withdrawal transactions made during the day.
Note: Profit/loss = Total asset value at the end of the day − total asset value at the start of the day − deposit/withdrawal amounts made during the day.
Asset analysis data is updated daily. Calculations for the previous day are completed every day at 00:00 (UTC+3).
You can view your portfolio in TRY or USD. Values in USD are calculated based on the live USD market price.
On the Asset analysis page, you can track the total value change of your portfolio, the profit/loss allocation, and the performance of your assets over time.
You can view the asset analysis based on 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, or a custom date range you specify. The value change of your portfolio, your gain, and your loss are shown in detail for the selected range.
The page visualises the allocation of the assets you own within your portfolio with a donut chart. You can review the percentage share of each asset in your portfolio on this chart.
In addition to portfolio-wide analysis, you can also track profit/loss for individual assets. When you click the relevant asset on the Wallet page, the asset detail window that opens shows the average cost, average buy price, and average sell price along with daily, 7-day and 30-day profit/loss changes.
Profit/loss calculation is based on a comparison of portfolio values at the start and end of the day with deposits/withdrawals made during the day. For this reason, the calculations for the previous day are completed every day at 00:00 (UTC+3) and reflected on the screen. You can track real-time price movements on the market detail screen.
No. Deposit and withdrawal amounts are factored into the formula and excluded from portfolio performance. Therefore, the profit/loss you see on the screen only shows the value change resulting from market movements.
In the app, you can compare your portfolio performance against the Bitcoin (BTC) reference. The comparison adds Bitcoin's percentage change within the selected time frame to the chart.
Total profit/loss represents the entire change in your portfolio's value; price movements and staking rewards are considered together. The Cash income section, on the other hand, shows only staking rewards separately.
Each asset's or group's percentage is the ratio of its TRY equivalent — calculated based on current market prices — to your portfolio's total value. As prices change, the percentages also update automatically. On the Asset classes tab, all assets in the same class are combined into a single slice; on the Currency tab, your assets are grouped by the currency in which they are held.
If you have no active position, the message "No active staking yet" and the Stake button appear in the Staked assets section. To start the flow, see the how to stake on Paribu article.
When you tap the share icon in the top right of the Asset analysis screen, a three-card share window opens. After selecting a daily, 1-month, or 3-month time frame, you can swipe between the period card, the comparison card (with Bitcoin), and the portfolio allocation card to choose the one you want to share; you can send it to any app via your device's system share menu.
