A recurring buy is a plan that automatically buys crypto from your TRY balance at the frequency you set. Once you set it up, purchases take place on their own on the days you selected, so you can spread your cost over time instead of depending on a single price level.
To set up a recurring buy on the website, open Discover in the top menu and click Recurring buy. In the window that opens you choose the asset, the amount to spend on each purchase and the purchase frequency, then confirm the plan from the summary. After the plan is set up, it is recommended that you set up a transfer instruction with your bank.
When your plan is set up, the message Your recurring buy plan is ready appears and the first purchase starts.
Note: The first time you open recurring buy, an introduction screen appears. You can click Start to move on to the setup
In the Easy Buy-Sell window, which opens from Crypto buy/sell → Quick buy/sell in the top navigation, you can choose an asset and an amount and then click Recurring buy to move into the same flow. The Review plan button takes you to the summary section.
No. This is the point that is most often misunderstood about recurring buy. As the interface also states, Paribu does not withdraw money automatically from your bank; you need to set up the recurring transfer with your bank yourself. A recurring buy is made from the TRY balance in your account.
Warning: Transfers from credit cards, joint accounts or third-party accounts are returned. You need to send the transfer from an account registered in your own name
There are four options, and only three of them create a plan. Buy now is not a plan; it works as a one-off purchase and does not repeat.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Buy now | Purchased now, does not repeat — does not create a plan |
| Daily | Buys every day |
| Weekly | Buys every week on the day you choose |
| Monthly | Buys every month on the day you choose |
Note: You cannot choose the purchase time. The plan repeats at the time it was set up; the frequency is shown together with the time in the plan details
After the plan is set up, clicking Set up transfer instruction opens the Recurring transfer instruction section, which lists the details you need for the instruction: Select bank, Amount, Frequency, the suggested transfer day and the recipient.
Paribu does not set up the instruction on your behalf; it shows you the details you need, and you set the instruction up at your own bank.
Warning: It matters that you set the date of the instruction to the business day before your purchase date. Transfers that fall on a weekend or a public holiday are processed on the next business day, so your balance may not be ready on the purchase day
Amounts sent with FAST reach your account within minutes; EFT transfers are only completed during bank working hours.
That purchase is skipped but your plan continues and is tried again in the next period. Skipped periods appear on the plan row with a Skipped label and a counter.
Warning: If your balance is not enough on three consecutive attempts, your plan is canceled automatically. When you top up your balance the counter resets and the plan continues as normal
You can see your plans in the Recurring buy tab of the transaction history. The list has Open transactions and Completed tabs, with the columns Asset, Start date, Frequency and Next purchase date.
When you click a plan, the Recurring buy details window shows Status, Amount and Start date along with an Accumulation summary: Total invested, Total received, Average cost and Profit / Loss.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The plan is running and purchases are made according to the frequency |
| Skipped | One or more periods were skipped because the balance was not enough; the counter shows which attempt you are on |
| Paused | The plan has been stopped temporarily by the platform |
| Cancelled | The plan has ended and no new purchases are made |
The cancellation reason appears in the plan details: Cancelled by you, Cancelled after three failed purchases or Cancelled because the asset was delisted.
Note: There is no option to pause or restart a plan. If your plan shows as Paused, you did not do that; to find out why, you can reach us through the support chat
When you cancel, the assets you bought with the plan remain in your account; only new purchases stop.
Tip: After canceling the plan, remember to remove the recurring transfer instruction at your bank as well. Otherwise transfers keep reaching your TRY balance while no purchase is made
Buy now is a one-off purchase and does not repeat; it does not create a plan. The daily, weekly and monthly options create a plan, and purchases continue on their own at the frequency you chose.
No. Paribu shows you the details you need for the instruction; you set the instruction up at your own bank. That is why you also need to remove your bank instruction when you cancel the plan.
There is no pause option; you can only cancel the plan. If you do not want to buy for a while, you can cancel the plan and set up a new one later.
The amount and frequency of an existing plan cannot be edited. To continue with a different amount or frequency, you need to cancel the plan and set up a new one.
No, recurring selling is not supported at the moment. Recurring buy works in the buy direction only.
