My transaction could not be completed / I saw "did not go through"
If a DeFi transaction that you send to your self-custody wallet through the interface Paribu provides and make through that wallet cannot be completed, there is no change to your balance; your asset continues to be held in your wallet at Paribu. In this case, the message "The transaction could not be completed, there was no change to your balance" and the Try again / Cancel options are shown. You can try again or make a transaction again later.
My transaction appears as "pending"
In some transactions, a short wait is normal:
- Sales in DEX markets: The onchain transaction completes, but it may take a few minutes for the obtained USDT to be reflected in your wallet at Paribu and added to your balance. During this time the transaction appears as a "pending transaction." This does not mean the transaction is on hold. (Details: Selling a token on a DEX.)
Important information
- When a transaction cannot be completed, your balance in your wallet at Paribu does not change; your asset is in your own wallet (self-custody).
- The "pending" state is normal; the amount is not lost.
- If there is an issue that is not resolved, you can contact Paribu Support.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to my asset if something happens to Paribu?
In DeFi products that you send to your self-custody wallet through the interface Paribu provides and make through that wallet, your asset is in your own self-custody wallet; it is not held at Paribu.
My transaction could not be completed; is my money gone?
No. In DEX markets, if a transaction cannot be completed, there is no change to the balance of your wallet at Paribu. You can try again with "Try again."
I sold, but my money did not arrive in my account?
In a sale in DEX markets, the onchain transaction completes; it may take a few minutes for the USDT to be reflected in your Paribu balance. You can track the transaction in the Pending Transactions list.
