You can follow Paribu without opening the app: you can add widgets to your device's home screen, use price and portfolio views on your Apple Watch, and track your withdrawal and account verification steps from your lock screen.
Warning: All of these features are available only on iOS devices. Widgets are not available on Android. The lock screen transaction card requires iOS 16.2 or later
You can add six types of widgets to your device's home screen:
| Widget | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Price | The current price and change of the asset you select |
| Portfolio | The profit and loss status of your portfolio |
| Earn | Your open earn position and accrued reward |
| News | Current crypto news headlines |
| Watchlist | A list showing several assets together |
| Market metric | Anxiety and confidence index, Bitcoin dominance, trading activity, market value |
To add widgets, press and hold your device's home screen, start the add widget flow, and select Paribu from the list. After adding it, you can press and hold the widget to change its size and content.
The portfolio widget offers three period options: Portfolio status (last 24 hours), Portfolio status (last 7 days), and Portfolio status (last 30 days).
You can connect the content of the watchlist widget to one of six sources: your favorites, your portfolio, assets you select yourself, top gainers, top losers, or volume ranking.
Note: The top gainers, top losers, and volume sources do not require you to be signed in. The favorites and portfolio sources do require you to be signed in to your account — these cards appear empty when you sign out
You can add Paribu to your Apple Watch face. Ten different views are offered: price (rectangular and circular), a single asset, favorites, portfolio profit and loss, earn, and five market metrics. The anxiety and confidence index can also be added as a gauge.
The data on your watch is transferred from your phone. When you sign out of your account, portfolio data is also removed from your watch.
When you start a withdrawal or while your account verification steps are in progress, the status of the transaction appears as a live card on your lock screen. On devices that support Dynamic Island, the card is shown there as well. There are two types of cards.
Shows the progress of your crypto and TRY withdrawals in three steps: awaiting confirmation, being processed, and being sent. In TRY withdrawals the recipient row shows the Recipient IBAN; in crypto withdrawals the destination address is shown. When the transaction is complete, the card stays on the screen for a short while and then closes.
Shows the progress of the steps that will open your account to transactions. There are three steps, and each step can have three states:
| Step | Pending | Completed | Could not be completed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Identity verification | Identity verified | Could not be verified |
| 2 | Verify your address | Address verified | Could not be verified |
| 3 | Deposit TRY | TRY deposited | Could not be deposited |
When a step cannot be completed, the title of the card changes as well — for example, it states that identity could not be verified and suggests checking your details. When all three steps are complete, the card shows that your account has been activated.
Note: The "could not be verified" text on the card is only the status label of that step; it does not mean that your account has been rejected. Restarting the relevant step from the app is enough
The reason a widget stays empty depends on the source it is connected to. In this case the widget states on itself what you need to do:
| Card | Reason it appears empty | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Watchlist — favorites | You have no assets in your favorites, or you signed out | Add assets to your favorites from Markets |
| Watchlist — portfolio | You have no assets in your portfolio, or you signed out | Make a purchase from Markets |
| Watchlist — custom selection | No assets have been selected yet | Press and hold the card to edit it and select assets |
| Earn | You have no open earn position | Open a new position from the earn flow |
The refresh behavior of widgets differs by type:
If you want a widget to show the current value, opening and closing the app is enough.
The most common reason is that notification permission is turned off. If notification permission has not been granted, the card stays at the first step and does not progress. When you turn on the notification permission for Paribu in your device settings, the card starts progressing normally.
You may also have turned off live activity display entirely in your device settings; in that case the card does not appear at all. You can always follow the status of the transaction from the Transactions screen in the app.
Widgets, Apple Watch views, and the lock screen card are currently offered only on iOS devices. These features are not available on Android.
No. Portfolio and earn widgets update only when you bring the app to the foreground. When you open and close the app, the widget shows the current value.
When the transaction is complete, the card stays visible for a short while and then closes on its own. When you sign out of your account, all cards close.
When you tap a widget, the app opens and you are directed to the screen that widget relates to — for example, to the market detail of that asset in the price widget.
The portfolio data on the watch is transferred from your phone and requires you to be signed in to your account. If you signed out, portfolio data is removed from the watch; it is transferred again when you sign in.
