On Paribu, all transactions you have initiated but that have not yet finalised are listed under Open orders. This group includes your pending buy and sell orders, crypto withdrawals awaiting confirmation, internal transfer processes, and active staking positions. You can view all of your open orders on a single screen and cancel them individually or in bulk whenever needed.
What is an open order?
An open order is a transaction you have created that has not yet been completed. The following transaction types are listed as open orders:
- Open orders: Buy or sell orders that have not yet been executed (including limit and conditional orders)
- Pending transfers: Crypto withdrawals awaiting confirmation, transfers awaiting Travel Rule information
- Active earn positions: Amounts locked in an earn (stake) pool
- Transactions awaiting confirmation: Transactions awaiting confirmation from you
How can I access open orders?
You can view your open orders from two different points in the Paribu app:
Transactions icon > Pending
The most comprehensive list appears under the Pending tab of the screen that opens from the Transactions icon at the top of the screen.
- Tap the Transactions icon at the top of the screen
- Select the Pending tab
- Tap the transaction you would like to view details for
Trade > Open orders tab
If you only want to see your buy and sell orders, you can use the Open orders tab on the Trade screen. Available in the standard and advanced trading views, this tab lists orders only for the selected pair by default; you can uncheck Show only this market to view orders across all pairs.
Managing open orders
Each row in the open orders list has action buttons on the right based on the transaction status. The most common actions are:
- Cancel: Cancels pending orders or transfers (buy and sell orders, crypto withdrawals)
- Confirm: Confirms transactions awaiting your approval
- Repeat: Restarts a similar transaction with the same parameters
- Cancel staking: Ends an active staking position
To cancel open orders, simply tap the Cancel button on the right of the open order row (on the Transactions screen) or the trash bin icon (under Trade path). Individual cancellations do not bring up a separate confirmation screen; the order is cancelled immediately.
Note: When an open order is cancelled, the balance locked in the order becomes immediately available.
Cancelling all orders in bulk
To cancel multiple open orders at the same time, you can use the Cancel all orders link at the top of the list. Bulk cancellation opens a confirmation screen; you must tap the confirmation button on the screen to complete the action.
The scope of bulk cancellation depends on which screen you start the action from:
- Transactions > Pending: Cancels open orders across all pairs
- Trade > Open orders: Cancels orders only for the selected pair; the confirmation message reads: "Are you sure you want to cancel all your {asset} orders?"
Open order statuses
The statuses you may encounter for open orders are as follows:
- Pending: Order is active and awaiting a match
- Partially filled: Part of the order has been filled, the remaining amount is open
- Awaiting your confirmation: Additional confirmation is required from you (for example, email confirmation for crypto withdrawals)
- Processing on the network: A confirmed crypto withdrawal is being processed on the blockchain network
Pending transfers
Crypto withdrawals require email confirmation for security. Until the confirmation link is clicked, the transaction remains in awaiting confirmation status in the open orders list. In addition, due to legal regulation, deposit and withdrawal transactions awaiting Travel Rule information are also listed as open orders until the relevant information is completed.
Frequently asked questions
Why are my open orders reducing my balance?
The amount of an open buy order and its associated fee are shown as locked in your balance until the order is completed or cancelled. For sell orders, the asset to be sold is locked. These amounts become immediately available once cancelled.
Can I cancel a completed order?
No. Executed transactions cannot be reversed. Only open orders or transactions awaiting confirmation that have not yet been executed can be cancelled.
What happens if I cancel a partially filled order?
The remaining portion of the partially filled order is cancelled; the portion already executed remains valid. The remaining locked balance becomes immediately available.
How do I cancel a crypto withdrawal request?
You can cancel a crypto withdrawal that has not yet been confirmed via email from the Pending tab of the Transactions screen or from the open order details using the Cancel button. Cancellation is no longer possible once the confirmation link is clicked and the transaction has been broadcast to the blockchain.
Why is my internal transfer not completing?
Internal transfers between registered Paribu users happen instantly. If the recipient's phone number, email address, or wallet address does not match a Paribu account, the transfer cannot be completed from the start and no transaction is created. For some transfers to a wallet address, Travel Rule information may be requested due to legal regulation; the transaction remains pending until this information is completed.
