Mert Altaç: “Fenerbahçe Token’s pre-sale revenue continues to set a record high”

Mert Altaç appeared on FB TV’s Medya 101 program as a guest. On the show, Mert Altaç discussed the latest trends in the cryptocurrency industry and answered questions regarding the collaboration between Paribu and Fenerbahçe Sports Club.

Discussing the role of cryptocurrency exchanges and their impact in 2020 and 2021, Mert Altaç emphasized that these platforms facilitate the trading process for users.

“The nature of the projects listed is the key distinction between the platforms”

Mert Altaç highlighted several factors that differentiate the platforms, with the most significant being the careful consideration given to cryptocurrency listings. He further added, “Naturally, the technical features of the platforms are also highly distinctive. Essentially, the nature of the projects listed is the key distinction between the platforms.”

While discussing Paribu’s position in the industry on the show, Altaç emphasized the platform’s global reach, driven by the nature of its business. He shared his insights: “Our user base is currently around 6 million, and it continues to grow every day. People’s understanding of the industry is also expanding significantly. To further this goal, we are focusing on training and informing users to the best of our abilities. We will soon begin accepting foreign users, completing the final link in our chain.”

The reliability of cryptocurrency exchanges was also a key topic of discussion on the show. Altaç emphasized that the precautions taken by platforms are just as crucial as user awareness, adding, “Our industry is relatively young— about 10 to 12 years old—and has gained significant popularity in the last five years.  At Paribu, we always ensure compliance with regulations, even in their absence. For the past year, we have had all our wallets audited by an independent firm, and we publish these reports monthly on our website. Trust in the platform where people trade is vital, and through these actions, we aim to provide the confidence they need.”

Mert Altaç highlighted that many individuals and institutions approached Paribu with proposals for blockchain project development. He then discussed the collaboration between Paribu and Fenerbahçe, explaining the launch process of Fenerbahçe Token: “Fenerbahçe came to us fully prepared, which led to a right kind of partnership. We brought the Fenerbahçe Token project to life in no time. Fenerbahçe Token still holds the record for the fan token project with the highest pre-sale revenue. The revenue reached approximately $52 million, based on the exchange rate at the time, setting a global record that has yet to be broken.”

In the conversation about utility tokens tied to the FB Token, Mert Altaç reminded the audience of their definition and added: “Clubs bear substantial responsibilities in relation to utility tokens. We are discussing blockchain projects that, once created, are permanent unless specifically programmed for deletion. The cryptocurrencies that provide the advantages offered by the club must be sustainable and built for long-term viability. This is a key consideration for Paribu before launching any project, and our collaboration with Fenerbahçe fully meets these criteria. Additionally, this marks the first end-to-end project we’ve implemented in the industry.”
