Addressing the highly anticipated approval of Spot Bitcoin ETFs, Yasin Oral noted that the primary impact would be enhanced market access for institutional investors. He explained that a new source of volume would emerge as institutional players, initially in the US and later globally, begin trading Bitcoin and incorporating it into their balance sheets. He added, “Bitcoin’s integration into traditional markets via ETF approval will change many aspects of our lives.”
“Bitcoin is a key reference point”
Yasin Oral noted that other cryptocurrencies might follow Bitcoin into traditional markets in the future. He also emphasized that the lives of cryptocurrency investors go beyond Bitcoin. Oral also explained that Bitcoin serves as a reference point due to its status as the leading cryptocurrency.

Yasin Oral expressed his views on Türkiye’s upcoming cryptocurrency regulation: “We expect the regulation in Türkiye to be supportive rather than restrictive. Mitigating potential risks for investors, regulating market entry and exit, and ensuring the secure custody of user assets are key priorities in this field.”
Oral explained that the regulation would define the service frameworks of platforms and highlighted its significance. He stated, “If the regulation’s reputation is validated internationally, it could encourage foreign investors to view this market as secure and direct their investments here.” He also discussed potential developments that could follow the regulation.
