Prof. Dr. Fatma Ulucan Özkul was the guest in the new program of the ISTBCW Use-Case series moderated by Ebru Güven and Başak Burcu Yiğit.
In the program the accounting and taxation of cryptocurrencies, which are one of the obstacles against the corporate adaptation and popularization of cryptocurrencies, were discussed, and the advantages of blockchain accounting system were also mentioned.
Özkul explained certain advantages of the blockchain accounting system such as its ability to provide accessibility to decentralized and distributed data and to prevent unauthorized data exchange as well as the creation of control mechanisms through smart contracts.
