To start using DeFi products, identity verification (KYC) must first be completed on your Paribu account, and then you must approve the agreement and risk statement and create your self-custody DeFi wallet. After this setup, you can use DEX.
Before you start
- Identity verification (KYC) must be completed on your Paribu account.
- If you do not have identity verification, you are asked to complete the KYC step first.
Complete the DeFi setup
- In the Paribu app, go to the Markets page and open the DeFi area.
- To use DEX, start the setup; read the information screens and continue.
- Review the DeFi agreement and the risk statement, and approve them with I have read and approve.
- Create your DeFi wallet with a passkey using Face ID / Touch ID.
- When the setup is complete, you can start using DEX.
Info: Once you approve the agreement and risk statement, they are not requested again.
Important information
- Identity verification (KYC) on Paribu is a prerequisite for access to DeFi products.
- You cannot transact without creating your self-custody wallet.
- If you do not approve the agreement or leave the flow midway, you can return to the previous screen without any issue.

What happens if I do not have identity verification (KYC)?
You cannot start the DeFi setup. You are first directed to the identity verification flow; after KYC is completed on Paribu, you can continue with the setup.
What happens if I do not approve the agreement?
Without approving the agreement, the wallet is not created and you cannot transact. You can leave the flow at any time and return to the previous screen.
I left the setup midway; do I start over?
If your agreement approval was saved, you can continue from where you left off.
