You can manage which notifications you receive from which channel from the Notification preferences screen on Paribu. Announcements, alarm notifications, order notifications, transfer notifications, and communication preferences are in five separate sub-screens; for each, the email, SMS, and mobile app options can be turned on and off independently.
How do I access the notification preferences screen?
To access your notification preferences in the Paribu app, tap the menu icon at the top left of the screen to go to the My account section, tap the Account and settings section, and then tap the Notification preferences item. The screen that opens groups announcements, alarms, orders, transfers, and communication titles in a single list.
- Tap the menu icon at the top left of the screen to go to the My account section
- Tap the Account and settings section
- Tap the Notification preferences item
Note: If Paribu notifications are turned off on your device, a warning titled Stay informed about updates is shown at the top of the screen. Tap the Turn on notifications link to be redirected directly to your device settings.
How do I set up announcement notifications?
On the Announcements screen, you can choose which types of platform announcements you want to receive as mobile notifications. You can turn each announcement type on and off independently; your preferences take effect instantly.
- On the Notification preferences screen, tap the Announcements item
- Turn on the toggle next to the announcement type you want to receive
The Announcements screen has the following option:
- When a new crypto asset is listed: Notifications for new assets added to Paribu
How do I set up alarm notifications?
On the Alarm item in the notification preferences screen, you can choose which channel you want to receive notifications from when your price alarms are triggered and when there are significant price changes in the market. Alarm notifications are delivered through email or the mobile app.
- On the Notification preferences screen, tap the Alarm item
- Adjust the toggles next to the notification channels you want to receive
The alarm screen has two sections:
- When the alarm is triggered: Notifications sent when the price alarms you created are triggered — Email and Mobile app channels
- When there are significant price changes: General notifications for sudden and large price movements in the market — Mobile app channel
Note: If you only want to receive notifications for your own alarms, you can turn off the mobile app toggle in the When there are significant price changes section.
How do I set up order notifications?
On the Order notifications screen, you can choose from which channel you want to be notified when the trading orders you created are triggered and matched. Separate preferences are kept for stop orders and matched orders.
- On the Notification preferences screen, tap the Order notifications item
- Adjust the Email and Mobile app toggles in the related sections as you prefer
The order notifications screen has two sections:
- When the stop order is triggered: Notifications sent when your stop order is triggered and placed in the market
- When the order is matched and executed: Notifications sent for orders that are matched with a counter-order in the market and executed
How do I set up transfer notifications?
On the Transfer notifications screen, you can choose from which channel you will be notified when your TRY or crypto asset deposit and withdrawal transactions take place. For both transaction types, the email, SMS, and mobile app channels can be turned on and off independently.
- On the Notification preferences screen, tap the Transfer notifications item
- Adjust the Email, SMS, and Mobile app toggles in the related sections as you prefer
The transfer notifications screen has two sections:
- When TRY deposit and withdrawal transactions take place: TRY transfers made via bank account
- When crypto asset deposit and withdrawal transactions take place: Crypto asset transfers made between wallet addresses
Warning: Transfer notifications are important for security; they let you notice instantly when someone makes an unauthorized transaction on your behalf. It is recommended to keep at least one of the SMS and mobile app channels open.
How do I edit communication preferences?
On the Communication preferences screen, you can decide separately for each brand in the Paribu ecosystem from which communication channel you want to receive information. These preferences are kept under the Commercial Electronic Message Consent Information Notice and can be updated at any time.
- On the Notification preferences screen, tap the Communication preferences item
- Adjust the channel toggles under each brand as you prefer
A separate section is shown for each brand on the screen. The section header shows the brand name and legal title, and below it are three channel toggles:
- Paribu — Paribu Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu A.Ş.
- Paribu Pass — Paribu Biletleme Teknolojileri A.Ş.
- Paribu Art — Paribu Sanat A.Ş.
For each brand, you can turn the Email, SMS, and Phone channels on and off independently:
- Email: Campaign, opportunity, and information emails
- SMS: Short messages delivered to your mobile phone number
- Phone: Information calls made outside of the support team
When you change the toggle status, the preference is saved instantly; no additional confirmation step is required.
Note: Communication preferences only cover commercial message content. Security warnings, transaction notifications, and support-related communication are not affected by these preferences and are always sent to protect your account security.
What should I do if I am not receiving notifications?
If you think you are not receiving notifications from Paribu, first check your in-app preferences and then your device's notification permissions. A two-step check usually solves most issues quickly.
What to check:
- Confirm that the related category is on in the Notification preferences screen (for example, the Alarm > Mobile app toggle must be on for alarm notifications)
- If you see an OS permission warning at the top of the Notification preferences screen, tap the Turn on notifications link to adjust device settings
- From your phone settings, confirm that the Paribu app has notification permission
- Fully close and reopen the app
If the issue persists, you can contact us by starting a live support chat through Paribu Support.
Frequently asked questions
When does a notification preference change take effect?
Changes take effect instantly; no additional confirmation or saving step is required. When you turn a toggle on or off, your preference is applied at that moment.
If I turn off email notifications, will I stop receiving security-related emails too?
No. Communication preferences only cover commercial messages and information content. Password change warnings, login notifications, transaction confirmations, and legal notices continue to be sent for account security.
Are SMS notifications charged?
No. There is no charge from Paribu for the notification SMS messages sent. SMS reception is subject to your operator's message receiving terms.
What happens to notifications when my phone is off or I do not have internet?
Mobile app notifications are delivered when your device is online. There may be notifications that arrive with delay. You can always view your transaction history from the screen that opens from the Transactions icon at the top corner of the screen.
Is it possible to receive the same notification through multiple channels?
Yes. For each category, you can keep the email, SMS, and mobile app toggles open together. This way the same notification reaches you through multiple channels.
Do I manage preferences separately for Paribu, Paribu Pass, and Paribu Art?
Yes. There is a separate section for each brand on the Communication preferences screen, and the Email, SMS, and Phone channels under each section can be turned on and off independently. When you turn off all channels for a brand, you only stop receiving commercial messages from that brand; the preferences of other brands are not affected. You may have edited the same preferences during sign-up, in the Be the first to hear about Paribu products window.
